PERSPECTX GOES EXTREME – CH47 COCKPIT PART 2 OF 2

The cockpit for the CH-47D is finished and has been integrated into the main fuselage.  The entire cockpit model ran 420K faces.  A large number of 4096 bitmaps were used which included color, specular, and bump.  Below are screenshots of the finished cockpit.

As a follow up to the previous blog by Allan I have decided to talk about the instrument panels, seat, and cyclic and collective stick creation for the Extreme model version of the CH-47 we are currently working on.

With construction of the model completed it was time to skin the model.  Since some photos of the chapter house could be found online it wasn’t too difficult to determine basic color schemes to start with.  Unfortunately, a lack of photo references up close and all around could not be found so I had to be a bit fictional with regard to some of the bas relief surfaces.  In the end many of the wall sculpture images that were used …
